Ted Maslen's Walks
Following many requests by local residents, Ted Maslen has been organizing monthly walks around the Market Lavington, West Lavington and Easterton area. The walks usually start at about 10:00am on Sunday mornings and they generally take about 2 hours to complete. The pace is leisurely, the walks interesting and this is a wonderful way of meeting new people and discovering more about the area. Dogs are welcome, but we would ask you to bring a lead and clear up any mess made. A schedule of future walks is posted on the village notice board in the market place. Refreshments are usually taken after the walk in one of our local pubs. Ted has been collecting a voluntary £1 donation from participants on each walk and will be presenting the proceeds to a local cause at the end of the year.
Walk Dates for 2010
Ted Maslen is semi retired, is an ex-parish councilor and has lived in Market Lavington all of his life. Ted's local knowledge makes him an ideal choice when it comes to organizing local walks
Because of this local knowledge the walks are both interesting and informative. Much of this information reflects Ted's own unique experiences as he grew up and it provides us with a personal aspect to what is known about life in and around the village over the last 60 yrs.
