Village Fete 2010

Market Lavington Village Fete 11th June 2011

Market Lavington Village Fete
A huge THANK YOU to all those who helped in any way at Clyffe Hall on 11th to make it a really positive day. Especially those behind the scenes, those who worked away in the days and weeks before; those who gave prizes, sold and bought tickets, those who helped set up early; collecting and moving tables, chairs, tents (and drying them afterwards) and the rest; those who provided delicious refreshments, ran stalls and games and activities – often with no opportunity of getting round themselves; those who heroically stayed on to help clear up so efficiently – to all of you who came and to the Halls for letting us use their lovely garden.
The Fete made £2,950 net – a splendid effort, even if down a bit from last year’s record; that was mainly due to lower takings on the raffle – partly a sign of the times. The weather really was kind to us too

We raised approaching £3,500.
